Personal Recap of 2021 & 2022

I do the most reflecting and projecting this time of year. Here are the most significant and succulent realizations/moments over 2021 and 2022.

  • I got engaged one year ago. Aside from my relationship to God, it’s the deepest, most meaningful connection I’ve ever experienced.
  • I gave up on a career in Accounting I spent years (and thousands of dollars) to obtain. I wrote 1,800 words about that here.
  • The older I get, the dumber I feel. Maybe it’s a matter of maturity, but I’m definitely more aware of my faults, shortcomings, and limitations.
  • I moved all over the US in the last 24 months. I’ve lived in Nashville, Tennessee, Savannah, Georgia, and now I live in Colorado Springs. I have a feeling I’ll be here for a very long time.
  • I’ve lost interest in commercial music. Maybe I messed myself up acoustically, but I don’t get lost in music like I used to before I started producing my own songs. I pay more attention to what’s happening technically, rather than effectually.
  • I permanently deleted Twitter and Facebook. I wanted to put a book end on the paper trail of ignorance I left behind in my adolescence.
