100 Words on Creativity
Open minds are drawn to the word “creative.”
People typically associate it with cleverness.
Or the ability to think differently.
But it has very little to do with thought.
Being creative simply means to create.
Forget thought — think action.
Think making, building, assembling.
Putting things together is creativeness.
Take an element from here, combine it with a piece there and wham!
You’ve got something new.
That’s creative.
It might be done in an original way.
It might not?
Neither is right or wrong.
We don’t need to bind art cliches or intelligence to the word. If you’re generating something, then, by definition, you are a creative person.
